About the role
Full-time, paid internship supporting Wealth Management operations at Scotiabank from January to April 2027. Interns may be considered for roles including E-Care Service Representative, Business Administrator, or Internal Control and Regulatory Affairs Intern, gaining hands-on experience in client service, account operations, controls, regulations, and risk-aware decision-making.
Potential Roles
- E-Care Service Representative supporting customer service activities.
- Business Administrator supporting Wealth Management business operations.
- Internal Control and Regulatory Affairs Intern supporting controls and regulatory activities.
- One application allows consideration for multiple Wealth Management positions.
Responsibilities
- Support efficient operations while maintaining effective day-to-day business controls.
- Provide customer service according to Scotia Service Standards.
- Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from advisors, trading desks, broker-dealers, departments, and management.
- Support account-opening queries using current industry regulations, firm policies, and procedures.
- Maintain client account integrity and provide team coverage when required.
- Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to daily activities and decisions.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in post-secondary education.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, written, verbal, and time-management skills.
- Apply business analysis, analytical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Have thorough PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Extracurricular involvement in conferences, clubs, or competitions is welcomed.
