Velocity - Global Procurement, Business Analyst Internship/Co-Op - Fall 2026
Join Scotiabank's Velocity Program as a Business Analyst Intern in Global Procurement from September 2026 to April 2027. Gain hands-on experience in spend analysis, data management, and procurement processes within a collaborative team environment.

Role Responsibilities
- Conduct internal spend analysis and develop cost/pricing models from various sourcing categories.
- Create and maintain presentations and reports using Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
- Perform market, industry, and product research using internal and external resources.
- Support documentation, presentations, supplier contracts, and implementation plans development.
- Assist in spend validation and data cleansing to improve data quality.

Additional Responsibilities
- Support project management and execution of procurement initiatives and ad-hoc analyses.
- Help develop and improve Global Procurement tools, processes, templates, and technologies.
- Assist with bank-wide enablement of procurement standards and tools.
- Apply risk management and compliance checks in supply market and contract analysis.
- Monitor project progress to ensure milestones are met.

Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to handle complex and large datasets.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Resourceful in gathering and mining quantitative and qualitative data.
- Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and contract analysis.
- Familiarity with project and program management methodologies.
- Data visualization and reporting experience, e.g., Power BI.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities like clubs, competitions, or hackathons.
