Scotiabank Houston Insights Day & 2028 Investment Banking Internship Program - Energy

About the role

Scotiabank’s Houston program combines a selective, two-day in-person Insights Day with consideration for its 2028 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Internship in the Energy team. Participants receive interactive banking exposure, networking, interview preparation, and a Superday interview, while interns gain experience supporting financing, M&A, advisory, modeling, valuation, research, and deal execution.

Insights Day

• Attend a two-day, in-person experience at Scotiabank’s Houston office.
• Learn about a typical day in Investment Banking through workshops and panels.
• Receive Investment Banking interview preparation and professional development sessions.
• Network with prospective mentors and hiring managers.
• Complete a Superday interview for the 2028 Summer Analyst Internship.
• Travel and lodging expenses are covered for students outside commuting distance.

Internship Responsibilities

• Support client pitches and deal execution across the Houston Energy team.
• Build financial models and perform company and transaction valuations.
• Conduct industry and company research.
• Prepare marketing materials and presentations.
• Gain exposure to debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory work.

Training and Application

• Receive in-depth training, ongoing coaching, technical workshops, and leadership-panel access.
• Attend all Insights Day events during the two-day experience.
