About the role
Analyst role in Scotiabank’s Global Technology Investment Banking Group, supporting client pitches and transaction execution. The position involves financial modelling, valuation, company and industry analysis, prospectus preparation, and client presentations. Analysts collaborate across capital markets and banking teams while receiving structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support client pitches and deal execution efforts.
- Evaluate corporate clients’ financial needs through models, marketing materials, and presentations.
- Develop valuation models, pro forma financial statements, and comparable company analyses.
- Conduct financial and written analysis of companies and industries.
- Source data required for financial analysis.
- Draft prospectuses, marketing presentations, and client presentations.
Team and Development
- Work within the Global Technology Investment Banking Group on a small project team.
- Interact with Corporate Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and derivatives teams.
- Access Capital Ideas, the Global Banking and Markets Learning Program, and interactive learning sessions.
- Participate in a mentorship program supporting professional and personal development.
