About the role
Join Scotiabank’s New York Mergers & Acquisitions team as a 2027 Investment Banking Analyst. The role supports strategic client discussions and transaction execution through financial analysis, valuation, modeling, industry research, due diligence coordination, and presentation materials. Candidates graduating between December 2026 and July 2027 will work in a demanding, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop content for strategic client meetings regarding mergers and acquisitions transactions.
- Perform comprehensive financial and written analysis of companies, industries, and financial requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed financial models, perform valuation work, and complete related analyses.
- Collect, consolidate, and interpret company and industry data.
- Support transaction execution by coordinating due diligence and liaising with clients and other advisors.
- Prepare client presentations, confidential offering memoranda, management and board presentations, and materials for senior bankers.
Team and Work Environment
- Work within Scotiabank’s dedicated Mergers & Acquisitions team in New York.
- Execute a broad range of transactions in a challenging, high-responsibility environment.
- Collaborate with Corporate Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Global Fixed Income, and Global Equity Derivatives.
- Work in small project teams with limited hierarchy and opportunities for career development.
