About the role
2027 M&A Investment Banking Analyst in Scotiabank’s New York team, supporting strategic advisory and transaction execution. Responsibilities include financial analysis, valuation, modelling, industry research, due diligence coordination, and client materials. The role targets students completing relevant undergraduate or graduate degrees between December 2026 and July 2027.
Responsibilities
- Develop materials for strategic client meetings regarding mergers and acquisitions transactions.
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis, company analysis, industry analysis, and valuation work.
- Create and maintain detailed financial models and interpret company and industry data.
- Support transaction execution by coordinating due diligence and liaising with clients and other advisors.
- Prepare client presentations, confidential offering memoranda, management presentations, and board materials.
- Work with Corporate Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Fixed Income, and Equity Derivatives teams.
