2027 Corporate Banking Summer Internship, New York City

About the role

Summer internship supporting Scotiabank’s Corporate Banking team in New York City from June to August 2027. The intern will contribute to client coverage, deal origination, financial analysis, industry research, transaction execution, lending opportunities, credit presentations, and client-facing materials across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support client coverage, deal origination, transaction structuring, and execution activities across multiple industry sectors.
• Build and analyze financial models, conduct industry research, perform due diligence, and evaluate corporate finance opportunities.
• Assist with lending opportunity analysis, credit presentations, and recommendations for internal approval.
• Prepare marketing collateral, client presentations, Excel analyses, and PowerPoint materials covering corporate finance and industry trends.
• Collaborate with Industry Coverage, Portfolio Management, and other Bank departments on transactions and client initiatives.
• Manage multiple concurrent deals and projects while meeting demanding deadlines, including extended business hours when required.
