About the role

Summer internship supporting Scotiabank’s Corporate Banking team in New York City from June to August 2027. The role involves client coverage, deal origination, financial analysis, industry research, transaction execution, lending opportunity assessment, and preparation of credit presentations while working across multiple projects and senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Support client coverage, deal origination, transaction structuring, and execution activities across multiple sectors.
• Build and analyze financial models, conduct industry research, perform due diligence, and assess market developments.
• Prepare marketing materials, client presentations, Excel analyses, and PowerPoint materials covering corporate finance and industry trends.
• Assist with lending opportunity analysis, credit presentations, and recommendations for internal approval.
• Collaborate with Industry Coverage, Portfolio Management, and other bank departments to support client and transaction objectives.
• Manage multiple assignments while meeting demanding deadlines, including extended business hours or weekends when required.
