About the role

Summer internship supporting Scotiabank’s Corporate Banking team in New York City from June to August 2027. Interns will contribute to client coverage, deal origination, financial analysis, industry research, credit presentations, transaction execution, and client-facing materials while managing multiple projects in a demanding, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support client coverage, deal origination, transaction structuring, and execution efforts.
  • Perform financial analysis, advanced financial modelling, industry research, and due diligence.
  • Assist with lending opportunity analysis, credit presentations, and recommendations for internal approval.
  • Prepare marketing collateral, client presentations, Excel analyses, and PowerPoint materials.
  • Collaborate with Industry Coverage, Portfolio Management, and other Bank departments.
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting demanding deadlines, including extended hours or weekends when required.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in progress, with expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
  • Demonstrated academic and extracurricular achievement.
  • Clearly defined interest in Corporate Banking.
  • Strong quantitative skills in financial analysis, accounting, and financial theory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, think independently, make decisions, and work effectively in teams.
