About the role

Winter 2027 internship with Roynat Capital’s Commercial Banking team in Dartmouth. Gain hands-on experience supporting Canadian mid-market businesses through financial analysis, credit assessment, underwriting, client relationship management, and specialized financing solutions for growth, acquisitions, expansion, and other strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Managers with client acquisition, needs assessment, loan processes, and disciplined sales activities.
  • Analyze businesses, complete financial analysis, prepare investment summaries, and identify strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Follow up with clients and support underwriting requirements throughout the financing process.
  • Build client relationships by understanding businesses, industries, and available Roynat and Scotiabank products.
  • Deliver client-focused interactions, efficient turnaround times, and professional service across products and services.
  • Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions.

Program Details

  • Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
  • Term: January through August 2027.
  • Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Gain early Commercial Banking exposure through meaningful projects and learning from experienced professionals.
  • Develop credit, financial analysis, business acumen, and understanding of capital solutions.
