About the role

Eight-month Commercial Banking internship supporting mid-sized businesses across multiple industries. The role offers hands-on experience in financial and company analysis, credit risk assessment, financing decisions, client relationship support, and business banking solutions while developing analytical, communication, and commercial banking skills.

Responsibilities

• Support client relationship teams with research, financial analysis, administrative tasks, and project assistance.
• Conduct company and industry analysis to inform credit and business decisions.
• Support financing decisions while considering client needs, risk, and operational requirements.
• Build and deepen relationships with clients and internal partners through a client-focused approach.
• Contribute to timely project delivery, business outcomes, and process improvements.
• Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions.

Team and Experience

• Work with the Mid-Market team serving Canadian businesses in manufacturing, retail, technology, and professional services.
• Gain exposure to customized lending, treasury, and banking services for mid-sized businesses.
• Learn from experienced professionals in a structured, collaborative environment with clear guidance and deadlines.
• Develop credit, financial analysis, business acumen, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
