ASPIRE Commercial Banking - Mid-Market - Winter 2027 Co-op / Internship - Montreal

About the role

Eight-month Winter 2027 internship with Scotiabank’s Commercial Banking Mid-Market team in Montreal. Interns support client relationship teams, analyze companies and industries, assess credit considerations, contribute to financing decisions, and develop financial analysis, communication, and business skills while working with mid-sized businesses across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

• Support client relationship teams with research, financial analysis, and administrative tasks.
• Conduct company and industry analysis to inform credit and business decisions.
• Support financing decisions while considering client needs, risk, and operational factors.
• Contribute to timely, high-quality support on projects and process improvements.
• Help build and deepen relationships with clients and internal partners.
• Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions.

Team and Development

• Work with the Mid-Market team serving mid-sized businesses across multiple Canadian industries.
• Gain exposure to lending, treasury, banking services, and dynamic financial transactions.
• Develop credit analysis, financial analysis, business, analytical, and communication skills.
• Learn from experienced professionals in a structured, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
