ASPIRE Commercial Banking - Mid-Market - Winter 2027 Co-op / Internship - Langley

About the role

This internship provides hands-on exposure to Scotiabank’s Commercial Banking Mid-Market team in Langley. Interns support financial analysis, credit assessment, client relationship teams, financing decisions, and process improvements while developing business acumen, communication skills, and an understanding of how commercial banking balances client needs, risk, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support client relationship teams with research, financial analysis, and administrative tasks.
• Conduct company and industry analysis to inform credit and business decisions.
• Assist with assessing credit risk and supporting financing decisions.
• Contribute to timely, high-quality project support and process improvements.
• Partner across teams and help build relationships with clients and internal partners.
• Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions.

Team Exposure

• Support mid-sized businesses across manufacturing, retail, technology, and professional services industries.
• Gain exposure to lending, treasury, banking services, financial transactions, and specialized credit analysis.
• Learn how Commercial Banking addresses clients’ operational needs, growth ambitions, and business challenges.
