About the role
Paid Winter 2027 ScotiaMcLeod internship-co-op for post-secondary students, offering hands-on exposure to full-service wealth management. Interns support Advisors with client administration, account opening, prospecting, presentations, events, and special projects while building knowledge across Scotia Wealth Management through monthly learning, networking, Wealth sessions, and bank-wide orientation.
Responsibilities
- Support Advisor teams by processing client requests and opening new accounts efficiently.
- Maintain and document client files and information, complete follow-up, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Liaise with business areas to remediate client issues and maintain high customer service standards.
- Assist with presentations, communications materials, client events, marketing materials, and special projects.
- Build prospect databases and profiles, identifying prospective relationships through referrals and lead lists.
- Collaborate with Advisor, Branch, Regional, and business-partner teams on assigned deliverables and initiatives.
Learning and Development
- Participate in monthly sessions to learn and network across Scotia Wealth Management business lines.
- Develop knowledge of the advisory industry, policies, processes, products, and services.
- Attend exclusive Wealth sessions and bank-wide orientation, including exposure to senior leadership.
- Gain hands-on experience across multiple Scotia Wealth Management teams.

- The work term runs from January through April 2027, with 37.5 hours per week.
