About the role

This paid Winter 2027 co-op supports Scotiatrust Taxation Services in Vancouver. The Tax Administrator prepares income tax returns, analyzes client tax situations, researches tax rules, and supports compliant, efficient operations. It suits post-secondary students with strong computer, organizational, customer-service, writing, and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare income tax returns using income statements, transactions, tax slips, capital gains, deductions, and credits.
  • Discuss tax rules and elections with Tax Officers and Managers, analyzing client situations and researching appropriate actions.
  • Support customer-focused service and strengthen client relationships through broader Bank systems, knowledge, and relationships.
  • Apply the Bank’s risk appetite, controls, policies, regulatory requirements, and conduct standards in daily activities.
  • Promote efficient operations while managing operational, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risks.
