Velocity - Finance & Accounting Internship/Co-op - Winter 2027

About the role

Scotiabank’s Finance & Accounting Internship/Co-op offers students practical experience in financial planning, reporting, metrics tracking, leadership communications, and business initiative analysis. The Winter 2027 Velocity Program includes training, coaching, networking, student events, and exposure to teams across Scotiabank and Tangerine.

Responsibilities

• Update and validate formulas used in planning and reporting processes.
• Track and report financial metrics on an ongoing basis.
• Prepare summary information packages for communication to leadership.
• Analyze data related to various business initiatives.
• Populate reporting templates with actual results and ensure completeness.

Program Experience

• Receive in-depth training, ongoing coaching, and feedback to support success.
• Attend student events, including Scotia Student Day, Lunch & Learns, and leadership panels.
• Complete bank-wide orientation and gain exposure to senior leadership.
• Work with an agile team and learn systems and procedures protecting the bank and customers.
• Top-performing interns may receive support establishing future placements across Scotiabank and Tangerine.
