About the role
This four-month Scotiabank Audit internship/co-op in Toronto supports planning, reporting, financial-metric tracking, risk-rating methodology updates, and audit documentation. Interns will prepare reporting templates, summarize findings, and record results while developing analytical, communication, Excel, and problem-solving skills through structured training, coaching, and student programming.
Responsibilities
- Update and validate planning and reporting materials.
- Populate reporting templates with actual results and verify completeness.
- Track and report ongoing financial metrics.
- Support managers and directors with risk-rating methodology updates.
- Prepare audit working papers, summarize findings, generate reports, and record results.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Medium to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
Program Experience
- Receive in-depth role training, ongoing coaching, and performance feedback.
- Participate in bank-wide orientation and gain exposure to senior leadership.
- Access student events, including Scotia Student Day, Lunch & Learns, and leadership panels.
- Successful high-performing participants may receive support establishing future placements.
