About the role
Ten-week London internship in Schonfeld’s Operations Middle Office team, supporting equity trade lifecycle and settlement processes. Interns work with senior management, peer groups, brokers, and operational functions while improving data integrity. The programme includes formal training, mentorship, skills workshops, senior-leader sessions, and exposure to hedge-fund infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support post-trade processing so trading activity updates internal systems and reaches external partners.
- Work with prime and executing brokers to resolve trade settlement breaks and reduce operational risk.
- Help create and improve centralised databases with the Middle Office team.
Team Exposure
- Gain exposure to Core Operations, Asset Servicing, Technology, Market Data, Accounting, and Portfolio Finance.
- Interact with fund administrators, prime brokers, executing brokers, and sell-side counterparties.
- Learn how asset types, data flows, and operational infrastructure support a hedge fund.
