About the role
A 10-week London summer internship supporting Schonfeld’s Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income platform. You will assist with business management, portfolio-manager onboarding, KPI and performance analytics, operational execution, and cross-functional projects spanning operations, treasury, compliance, and technology, while developing practical exposure to AI/ML-enabled tools and financial-market processes.
Business Management
- Support day-to-day business needs and maintain plans for portfolio-manager builds and regional growth initiatives.
- Analyse business activities, flag issues, and support recommendations to improve processes.
- Help ensure operations remain compliant and aligned with strategic goals.
- Use AI and automation tools to streamline reporting and surface actionable insights.
Onboarding And Analytics
- Support onboarding of Macro and Fixed Income portfolio-manager teams, including market-data entitlements and trading-system connectivity.
- Act as a contact for existing stakeholders across the business.
- Maintain KPI and business-metric dashboards and present insights to the team and DMFI COO.
- Support cost-benefit analysis for data, analytics, and technology spending.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Support projects across operations, treasury, compliance, and technology.
- Develop an understanding of legal and treasury processes and promote regional process consistency.
- Support adoption of AI-powered tools for research synthesis, sentiment analysis, and workflow automation.
Internship Experience
- Work with a dedicated manager and mentor throughout the internship and beyond.
- Attend learning sessions with senior leaders and hands-on skills workshops.
- Participate in networking events and gain insight into how functions support the firm.
