About the role
Quantitative Developer Intern in Schonfeld’s Austin-area Quantitative Research team. You will build and improve software supporting predictive signals, machine-learning research, trade execution, portfolio construction, and risk management. The 10-week internship combines hands-on development, collaboration with researchers and senior colleagues, mentoring, training sessions, workshops, and networking.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve software used in quantitative research.
- Support scalable software development, parallel computing, machine-learning model training, and large-dataset processing.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers, developers, and senior team members on research projects.
- Contribute to predictive signals, trade execution, portfolio construction, and risk-management algorithms.
- Use AI tools to improve coding and analysis productivity.
Internship Experience
- Complete a 10-week internship in the Austin metro area.
- Receive guidance from a dedicated manager and mentor throughout the internship.
- Attend learning sessions with senior leaders and hands-on skills workshops.
- Network and socialize with colleagues through program events.
