About the role
The 2027 Platform Engineering Internship offers hands-on experience building, supporting, and evolving cloud platforms at Schonfeld. Interns will contribute to AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, automation, GitOps deployments, and infrastructure troubleshooting while collaborating with technology teams and learning from dedicated managers, mentors, workshops, and senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain Terraform and Crossplane claims supporting AWS infrastructure changes.
- Contribute to internal tooling and automation scripts using Python or Bash.
- Assist with daily operations across Kubernetes/EKS clusters and ArgoCD GitOps deployments.
- Help investigate networking, DNS, connectivity, and service-health issues across AWS accounts.
- Collaborate with technology teams on technical requests and supported platform upgrades.
Internship Experience
- Complete a 10-week summer internship focused on real-world technology and platform engineering challenges.
- Receive guidance from a dedicated manager and mentor throughout the internship and beyond.
- Attend learning sessions, hands-on skills workshops, networking events, and senior-leader discussions.
