About the role
The 2027 Business Analytics Internship is a ten-week New York opportunity to work as a Data Analyst at Schonfeld. Interns support high-profile projects, using Python, SQL, Power BI, and database technologies to improve data quality, streamline processes, build reports, and solve business problems alongside experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data to identify meaningful patterns supporting decision-making and problem-solving across the business.
- Improve data quality and streamline manual processes for internal stakeholders.
- Build reports, propose analytics, and support the firm’s reporting infrastructure.
- Use Python, SQL, Power BI, and data tools to transform and analyze real-world datasets.
- Work on high-profile projects as a Data Analyst with mentorship from team members.
Business Analytics Team
- The team handles data acquisition and processing using technology to solve business problems for stakeholders.
- Stakeholders include risk, trading, accounting, operations, and business development.
- The role provides exposure to trading and hedge fund strategies.
Internship Experience
- Receive guidance from a dedicated manager and mentor throughout the internship and beyond.
- Connect with senior leaders through learning sessions and attend hands-on skills workshops.
- Participate in networking opportunities and social events during the internship.
- Gain insight into how different functions support the firm.
