Business Analyst, RBC Amplify 2027, Halifax

About the role

RBC Amplify is an intensive summer innovation program for students graduating between August 2027 and June 2028. As a Business Analyst in Halifax, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to research challenges, develop and prototype solutions, build business cases, and pitch products addressing real RBC business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on real RBC business challenges within a cross-functional team of business, data, and programming specialists.
• Organize and manage the team project, develop a business case, and prepare an engaging stakeholder pitch.
• Design, troubleshoot, and develop a fully functional prototype addressing a real business need.
• Support product development through research, ideation, design, testing, and collaboration across project stages.
• Work with subject matter experts, mentors, executive sponsors, and technology and business stakeholders.
• Present project strategy and communications to executives and other stakeholders at the program’s conclusion.

Program Experience

• Gain exposure to design thinking, agile development, and other tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Access subject matter experts, coaches, mentors, technical training, professional training, and development resources.
• Work in a flexible, startup-style environment requiring collaboration, creativity, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Participate in an intensive summer experience with opportunities to develop future career skills at RBC.

Program Details

• Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
• Work schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Employment type: Student/Co-op, fixed term.
