Summer 2027 Wealth Management Technology Internship

About the role

RBC U.S. Wealth Management seeks Summer 2027 technology interns in Minneapolis. Interns may support software development or DevOps activities, including application development, testing, automation, deployment, and troubleshooting. The program runs full time from June through August 2027 and includes learning, networking, career development, and executive leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Support information technology functions within RBC U.S. Wealth Management.
• Develop or test user-interface components and build APIs for in-house applications.
• Maintain automation tools supporting source code, builds, testing, artifacts, deployment, monitoring, and configuration.
• Participate in solution design, development, code reviews, unit testing, and automated validation.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in DevOps pipelines.
• Understand consumer needs and apply software development lifecycle and continuous integration concepts.

Program Experience

• Work 40 hours weekly from the Minneapolis office throughout the internship.
• Attend learning sessions, social outings, volunteer activities, career development, and networking opportunities.
• Gain exposure to executive leadership and local and global technology initiatives.

Requirements

• Be a junior or master's student graduating between December 2026 and May 2027.
• Study software engineering, software development, computer science, management information systems, or another technology discipline.
• Have working knowledge of information technology applications, software, and systems.
• Demonstrate technical, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Manage competing priorities, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Interest or experience developing user-interface components or building APIs.
• Knowledge of technologies including WPF, MVVM, SQL Server, DB2, Spring Boot, React, C#, Java, or ASP.NET.
• Interest in the financial services industry.
