About the role

As a Developer in Toronto, you will join a cross-functional team to research, design, build, and pitch a functional prototype addressing a real RBC business challenge. The program offers mentorship, technical and professional training, exposure to modern technologies, and opportunities to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, create, and deliver a functional prototype solving a real RBC business need.
• Collaborate with business, data, and programming specialists in an intensive innovation environment.
• Work with technology and business stakeholders, subject matter experts, mentors, and executive sponsors.
• Apply teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills while working through ambiguity.
• Use current and industry-standard technologies to develop an innovative product or solution.
• Present the project to executives and stakeholders, including its strategy and communications.

Training and Development

• Participate in training covering design thinking, Agile development, and other tools.
• Access technical and professional training, resources, coaches, mentors, and subject matter experts.
• Work with students from diverse backgrounds and build professional relationships across RBC.
• Contribute to real projects with potential lasting impact at RBC.

Program Details

• Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
• Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, full time.
• Employment type: Student/Co-op fixed term; salaried.
• This is an intensive summer innovation program.
