Developer, RBC Amplify 2027, Calgary

About the role

RBC Amplify is an intensive summer innovation program in Calgary for students graduating between August 2027 and June 2028. Developers collaborate in cross-functional teams to research, design, build, and pitch a functional technology prototype addressing a real RBC business challenge, with coaching and technical training throughout.

Responsibilities

• Develop an innovative product addressing a real RBC business challenge within a cross-functional team.
• Research, design, build, and deliver a fully functional prototype solving a business need.
• Collaborate with business, data, programming, technology, and other specialist team members.
• Use current industry technologies while working with mentors, executives, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
• Apply teamwork, critical thinking, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.
• Develop project strategy and communications, then present the solution to executive stakeholders.

Training and Support

• Access subject matter experts, coaches, mentors, executive sponsors, and technical resources throughout the program.
• Participate in training covering design thinking, agile development, and other relevant tools and practices.

Work Arrangement

• Based in Calgary, Alberta, with full-time hours of 37.5 hours per week.
• Student/co-op fixed-term employment with salaried pay during the summer program.
