About the role

Join RBC as a Data Analyst Developer Intern for 8 months starting January 2027. Develop full-stack web applications and backend data services using Python and Dash, collaborating with teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build full-stack web applications using Dash and Python.
  • Develop backend data processing services with Pandas and other libraries.
  • Create interactive, responsive web interfaces for business stakeholders.
  • Write clean, tested, documented code following software engineering best practices.
  • Integrate AI/ML models into production web applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to refine requirements and features.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Enrolled in third-year or higher Computer Science or related program at a top Canadian university.
  • Minimum 8 months of co-op or internship experience in software or data engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python with production application experience.
  • Advanced experience with Pandas for data manipulation.
  • Solid understanding of web application architecture and SQL databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with Dash or similar web frameworks like Flask or Django.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and libraries such as scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
  • Understanding of software testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
  • Experience with data warehouse concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker) and agile development practices.
