About the role
Twelve-month PEY Software Engineer internship with RBC’s Investor Services Data & Digital Business Intelligence group in Toronto offers hands-on experience developing financial services solutions across the technology stack. Interns work with senior engineers, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with business and technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and refine software features under senior software engineer mentorship and guidance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute improvements across multiple projects and the existing codebase.
- Work across the technology stack on projects supporting RBC Investor Services groups.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Data, Digital, and other business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Document technical work, code, project outcomes, and team best practices clearly.
- Share learnings, challenges, and insights through presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Team and Communication
- Communicate regularly with business partners and stakeholders across Investor Services and related platforms.
- Work within a close-knit, supportive, and dynamic engineering group.
- Collaborate with colleagues across RBC business segments to understand broader organizational context.
- Gain exposure to business partners and stakeholders across Investor Services and other bank platforms.
