About the role
This eight-month Toronto student/co-op role sits within RBC’s COO, CFO Group. The Data Engineer will help coordinate automation solutions and web applications using big-data assets, support ETL and data management, analyze business problems, and collaborate with Finance stakeholders to improve reporting and enable data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate automation solutions and web-based applications using RBC big-data assets across Finance departments.
- Provide data and analysis to improve reporting processes and stakeholder dialogue.
- Apply design thinking and agile methods to experiment, iterate, and deliver ETL initiatives and web portals.
- Acquire, transform, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Role Details
- Work within a team comprising professionals from computer science, data, business analytics, accounting, and finance.
- Support business-problem prioritization and innovative solutions that enable data-driven decisions.
- Based at Royal Bank Plaza, 200 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario.
- Full-time student/co-op fixed-term position with 37.5 working hours per week.
