Role Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise data management workflows for data ingestion and transformation.
- Build and maintain automated data pipelines to improve data consistency and reduce manual effort.
- Apply data warehouse concepts to support strategic data initiatives.
- Work in an agile team delivering end-to-end data engineering projects.
- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to meet requirements.

Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution in computer science or related fields.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
- Experience or understanding of ETL/ELT and data pipeline development.
- Proficient with databases, SQL, and data warehouse concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with open-source frameworks like Hadoop or Spark, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with metadata management and data governance platforms.
- Knowledge of workflow development and data integration tools.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and version control (Git).
- Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

Program Details
- 4-month fall 2026 internship from September to December in Toronto, Ontario.
- Full-time position with 37.5 work hours per week.
- Must be returning to school after December 2026 or require the full 4-month term to graduate.
