Fall 2026 - GRM, Environmental & Social Risk Analyst Intern (8 Months)
Join RBC as an Environmental & Social Risk Analyst Intern for 8 months starting Fall 2026. Support E&S risk integration, data analysis, regulatory compliance, and climate risk insights within a dynamic team.

Role Responsibilities
- Support E&S risk measurement, management, and monitoring across environmental, climate, physical, and social risk topics.
- Implement RBC’s E&S risk policies and monitor emerging E&S issues affecting reputational, legal, or credit risk.
- Analyze large datasets and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external climate data disclosures including carbon assets and scenario analysis.
- Conduct independent ESG risk research to inform risk heatmaps and profiles.

Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing a relevant degree in Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental, Economics, or related quantitative field.
- Experience creating presentations, visualizations, and dashboards (e.g., PowerPoint, Tableau).
- Strong analytical skills with experience manipulating large datasets using querying tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of climate risk science, scenarios, models, and data.
- Experience in mathematical, statistical, financial, or economic analysis of complex datasets.
- Understanding of banking, commercial lending, or financial risk management.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Program Details
- 8-month student placement from September 2026 to April 2027.
- Must be returning to school after April 2027 or require the full 8-month term to graduate.
- Located in Ontario for the duration of the work term.
- Full-time, salaried position with 37.5 work hours per week.
