About the role
Join RBC's Global Special Investigations Unit as a Winter 2027 Investigation Analyst Intern. Support financial crime investigations by analyzing data and managing cases to mitigate risks. This 4-month paid internship in Toronto offers hands-on experience in forensic accounting and global investigations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist Global Special Investigations Unit with financial crime investigations.
- Analyze financial and other data using critical thinking skills.
- Manage assigned investigative cases independently and timely.
- Gather and review documents related to investigations.
- Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Help develop new processes or tools to improve investigations.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and task prioritization abilities.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills required.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Enthusiastic team player.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior investigative or analytical experience.
- Big data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Analyst Notebook.
- Experience with MS Word and MS Access.
- Project management skills.
- Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
Program Details
- 4-month Winter 2027 internship from January to April.
- Must be returning to school after April 2027 or require full 4-month term to graduate.
- Located in Ontario, Canada.
- 37.5 hours per week, full-time, salaried position.
