About the role
Join RBC as a Winter 2027 Global AML Metrics Reporting Analyst co-op student for 4 months. Support business teams by analyzing data, writing SQL and Python scripts, and developing reports to provide actionable insights.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects under supervision.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from enterprise systems.
- Develop Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Document code, processes, and query logic; update procedure manuals.
- Assist business teams with ad-hoc reports and data requests.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate degree focused on Math, Statistics, IT, or Computer Science.
- Programming skills in SQL, Python, R, SAS, or other data analysis tools.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of complex data.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like SAS VIYA or Tableau.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative, analytical, self-driven, and able to work in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills
- Quick learner of new business and system concepts.
- Experience debugging data issues and optimizing processes.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control.
Program Details
- 4-month student placement from January to April 2027.
- Must return to school after placement or require full 4-month term to graduate.
- Located in Ontario for the duration of the work term.
- Flexible work arrangements to be discussed with hiring manager.
- Full-time, salaried position with 37.5 work hours per week.
