About the role

The Enterprise Risk Analyst Intern supports risk identification, assessment, and reporting for RBC's enterprise-wide risks. The role involves research, analysis, and collaboration across risk teams to develop risk insights and reports for senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Support identification and assessment of enterprise-wide Top and Emerging Risks through research and analysis.
  • Monitor global economic, geopolitical, societal, and technological trends for risk impact.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual risk reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Update the enterprise Risk Repository regularly.
  • Collaborate with various risk and business teams across RBC.
  • Perform additional duties to support the PERM team's mandate.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a business-related or relevant university degree.
  • General understanding of global events and basic economic concepts.
  • Excellent writing, research, interpersonal, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with Bloomberg and other market data sources.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Coding or programming skills.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies.

Program Details

  • 4-month Winter 2027 student placement from January 11 to April 30, 2027.
  • Must be returning to school after the work term or require the full 4-month term to graduate.
  • Located within Ontario for the duration of the work term.
  • Full-time, salaried position with 37.5 work hours per week.
