About the role

This four-month Winter 2027 co-op in Toronto supports RBC’s Capital Markets Financial Risk team within the Chief Audit Executive/Internal Audit Group. The role combines internal audit, market and counterparty credit risk analysis, data visualization, and Generative AI development across RBC entities globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Generative AI agents to improve audit process efficiency and support data-driven analysis.
  • Analyze business requirements and select appropriate analytical tools with subject matter experts.
  • Analyze data and develop Tableau dashboards for technical audits covering market and counterparty credit risk.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders as a trusted advisor.

Team and Opportunity

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Work toward a university degree in finance, business, computer science, or a related field.
  • Have experience writing code using general-purpose programming languages; Python is a strong asset.
  • Have experience with prompt engineering and developing solutions using Generative AI tools.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bring excellent writing and research skills, strong interpersonal skills, and conceptual thinking.
  • Return to school after the work term, or require the full term to graduate successfully.
