About the role
Four-month Winter 2027 internship with RBC Corporate Real Estate’s Global Strategy and Transformation team in Toronto. The intern will support strategic initiatives, business cases, opportunity assessments, analytics, leadership communications, change management, and enterprise-wide projects while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional CRE teams.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic initiatives as an analyst, including business cases, opportunity assessments, best-practice research, and analytics.
- Support leadership communications and change-management initiatives.
- Collaborate across CRE on projects, initiatives, and information gathering.
- Source and develop content for RBC’s internal and external communication channels.
- Support enterprise-wide signature initiatives and execute tactical plans as required.
Team Context
- RBC Corporate Real Estate manages approximately 24 million square feet across 2,300 global locations.
- The portfolio includes offices, retail stores, client-facing spaces, data centres, operations centres, and critical facilities.
- CRE delivers cost-effective real estate solutions supporting RBC business-unit strategic goals.
Placement Details
- Four-month student placement running from January 2027 through April 2027.
- The successful candidate must be located in Ontario throughout the work term.
- The position is based in Toronto, with virtual, hybrid, or in-office arrangements discussed with the hiring manager.
- The role is full-time, salaried, and scheduled for 37.5 hours per week.
- Candidates must return to school after April 2027 or require the full term for graduation.
Requirements
- Strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and ability to apply frameworks to business problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, prioritization, multitasking, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Motivation to learn, creativity, curiosity, and a team-oriented mindset.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous corporate, retail, or office real estate experience is an asset but not required.
- Technical and data analytics acumen.
- Demonstrated academic success and diverse extracurricular involvement.
