About the role
A 10-week Capital Markets summer program supporting trading desk quants through quantitative analysis, pricing tools, risk management systems, and software development. Associates will translate business requirements into technical solutions, maintain applications, assist with product modelling, and receive structured training and mentorship in New York.
Responsibilities
- Deliver project work and daily support for the assigned business and technology teams.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and software solutions.
- Design, develop, review, test, release, and support applications using software development lifecycle practices.
- Build tools supporting trading, risk management, front-office risk aggregation, and analysis activities.
- Maintain and improve pricing tools, quant libraries, and related operational frameworks.
- Support pricing models, new-product feasibility, trades, risk management projects, and desk-based research.

- Work with Capital Markets business units and technologists globally on complex business issues.

Requirements
- Pursue a master’s or PhD, graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Hold a four-year degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a comparable rigorous scientific field.
- Demonstrate academic excellence and strong qualifications in physical sciences, mathematics, and computing.
- Have advanced mathematics and programming skills in Python, C++, R, Java, or similar languages.
- Understand derivatives, financial products, pricing, trading, risk management systems, and relevant information technology.
- Demonstrate communication, teamwork, analytical, troubleshooting, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Qualifications
- Be self-starting, self-managed, results-oriented, detail-oriented, and committed to learning and adapting.
- Manage multiple competing priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Understand software design principles and full software development lifecycle best practices.
- Have spreadsheet and tool-building experience.
