About the role
Join RBC as a Procurement Intern Analyst for a 4-month winter term in 2027. Support Global Procurement in technology sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and sourcing processes. Develop analytical and communication skills in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Understand RBC spend across multiple categories.
- Support supplier management activities and provide guidance to business units.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts ensuring RBC standards.
- Assist in acquiring goods and services for the Procurement team.
- Develop metrics to measure supplier and sourcing effectiveness.
- Evaluate cost savings from contract and relationship reviews.
Additional Responsibilities
- Educate business units on supplier management to mitigate risk.
- Support sourcing processes including eRFx management.
- Ensure adherence to sourcing policies and internal controls.
- Source suppliers balancing price, service, and quality.
- Identify working groups and oversight boards with key stakeholders.
- Continuously improve end-to-end sourcing processes.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Canadian post-secondary institution in relevant fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent storytelling and analytical thinking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with ability to complete projects accurately and timely.
- Self-driven and able to work in fast-paced environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
