About the role
Join RBC as a Procurement Analyst Intern in Winter 2027 to support global procurement activities, supplier management, contract negotiation, and sourcing processes within Banking and Financial Services.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of RBC spend across multiple categories.
- Support supplier management activities and provide guidance to business units.
- Participate in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to mitigate risk.
- Assist in acquiring goods and services for the Procurement team and businesses.
- Develop and report on performance metrics for sourcing effectiveness.
- Evaluate cost savings from contract and relationship reviews.
Additional Responsibilities
- Educate business units on supplier management processes to mitigate risk.
- Support and challenge decisions using data and analysis.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including eRFx.
- Ensure sourcing policies and internal controls are followed.
- Continuously improve sourcing processes.
- Use spend data to influence demand management opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Canadian post-secondary institution in relevant fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent storytelling and analytical thinking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with ability to complete projects accurately and on time.
- Self-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supplier management.
- Leadership skills and passion for dynamic business environments.
- Ability to analyze large data sets and present findings.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills and adaptability in agile environments.
- Self-starter capable of working independently.
Program Details
- 4-month internship from January to April 2027.
- Full-time position with 37.5 hours per week.
- Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Must be returning to school after internship or require internship for graduation.
