About the role

Join RBC's Enterprise Chief Controls Office as a Data Intern for 4 months starting January 2027. Work on data analysis, reporting, and AI tool development to support risk and operational excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and deliver reporting solutions using Tableau, Python, and databases.
  • Develop and enhance dashboards aligned with business requirements.
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure report accuracy.
  • Support AI tool development with advanced analytics and prompt engineering.
  • Apply data warehouse concepts for scalable data architectures.
  • Contribute actively to the team and RBC development community.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program focused on data science, computer science, math, statistics, or machine learning.
  • Experience with relational databases and data management methodologies.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Programming skills in Python, SQL, or VBA for data analysis.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in AI development or prompt engineering.
  • Proficiency in building statistical and algorithmic models including supervised learning, clustering, NLP, and deep learning.
  • Quick learner with ability to absorb new business and system concepts.

Program Details

  • 4-month student placement from January to April 2027.
  • Must be returning to school after placement or require the full 4-month term to graduate.
  • Located in Ontario for the duration of the work term.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, salaried position.
