2027 Capital Markets, COO Operations Summer Analyst

About the role

RBC Capital Markets offers a 10-week COO Operations Summer Analyst internship for undergraduate students graduating in December 2027 or spring 2028. Interns gain hands-on experience across brokerage operations, front-office trade support, and referential data management, supported by practical training, mentorship, and exposure to capital-markets businesses.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced Operations professionals in a Capital Markets support area.
• Gain exposure to brokerage operations, front-office trade support, or referential data management.
• Develop practical understanding of Capital Markets products, services, and business capabilities.
• Support various business and product areas within the Capital Markets division.

Program Details

• The program runs for 10 weeks and provides hands-on Capital Markets experience.
• Training includes orientation, classroom curriculum, and information sessions with business leaders.
• Interns receive career-building mentorship from experienced professionals throughout the program.
• The role is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, or New York, New York.
• The position is full time with a 40-hour work week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree focused on Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Graduation expected in December 2027 or spring 2028.
• Basic market knowledge and demonstrated interest in financial markets.
• Strong analytical, personal, oral, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge or experience in customer service, accounting, financial planning and analysis, or data entry.
• Leadership qualities, initiative, and ability to contribute as a team member.
• Diverse extracurricular activities and a record of outstanding academic achievement.
