About the role

This four-month Winter Analyst internship in RBC’s Capital Markets COO Group supports Asset Servicing operations in Halifax. You will help process and reconcile corporate actions across North American and EMEA trading accounts, covering equities, fixed income, and options while resolving claims, cash breaks, and position discrepancies within a deadline-driven environment.

Role Details

• Support US, Canadian, and EMEA trading desks within the Asset Servicing function.
• Work 37.5 hours per week in a full-time, fixed-term student or cooperative role.
• The position is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia; the listed address is in Bedford.
• Products include equities, ETFs, ADRs, fixed income, and equity or index options.

Responsibilities

• Process mandatory corporate actions in Sophis, including mergers, tenders, dividends, splits, reinvestments, spinoffs, interest, maturities, and exchanges.
• Process voluntary offers and reconcile receivables, payables, and position balances against the reorganizational department.
• Process and reconcile equity and index option exercises, assignments, expirations, and corporate-action adjustments.
• Review option notices from the OCC and CDS relating to corporate-action adjustments.
• Resolve external counterparty claims and reconcile position or cash breaks between ICI-Impact and depositories.
• Provide support for other Asset Servicing functions as required.
