About the role

RBC Capital Markets’ 10-week U.S. Summer Analyst Program in San Francisco places rising college seniors in Global Investment Banking, supporting Technology industry and M&A product teams. Analysts work on live transactions, client-facing business development, financial modeling, market research and transaction analysis while receiving mentoring and networking opportunities.

Role Focus

• Join the Global Investment Banking platform in RBC Capital Markets’ San Francisco office.
• Support the Technology industry group and Mergers and Acquisitions product group.
• Work alongside investment bankers on live transactions and client-facing business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models and analysis.
• Create pitch books and other client materials.
• Conduct research to analyze market trends.
• Support live deals and major transactions.

Program Structure

• Participate in a 10-week U.S. Summer Analyst Program.
• Work 40 hours per week in a full-time, fixed-term Student/Co-op position.
• Receive mentoring, typically from a full-time Analyst.
• Network and discuss career opportunities through social events.

Development

• Build skills in financial modeling, analysis, transaction execution and negotiation.
• Gain in-depth Technology industry and M&A product knowledge.
• Develop a better understanding of RBC products and services.
