About the role
RBC Capital Markets seeks rising college seniors for a 10-week Global Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program in Houston’s Energy industry group. Analysts support live transactions and client development through financial modeling, market research, pitch-book preparation, transaction analysis, and deal execution while receiving mentorship and networking opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, financial analysis, and transaction-related materials.
- Create pitch books and other client-facing materials for business development initiatives.
- Conduct research to analyze market trends and support investment banking activities.
- Support live deals and major transactions for Energy industry clients.
- Work alongside investment bankers on strategic advisory and equity or debt capital-raising engagements.
Candidate Profile
- Undergraduate student in the penultimate year at an accredited four-year college or university.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Strong collaboration, relationship-building, communication, integrity, and inclusive-mindset behaviors.
- Well-rounded interests and extracurricular activities beyond academics.
Program Experience
- Gain foundational investment banking skills in financial modeling, analysis, transaction execution, and negotiation.
- Build in-depth industry and product knowledge and understanding of RBC products and services.
- Receive support from a mentor, typically a full-time Analyst.
- Network and discuss career opportunities through social events.
