About the role
RBC offers 4-16 month Financial Analyst internships within the CFO group in Toronto. Interns gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and process improvement across various finance areas.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial results, forecasts, budgets, and variance reports
- Develop financial models, dashboards, and data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including journal entries
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Support internal controls, compliance, and regulatory reporting
- Partner with business units to provide financial insights and recommendations
Requirements
- Enrolled in Canadian post-secondary in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math, or related
- Eligible for a work term starting January 2027 lasting 4, 8, 12, or 16 months
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Previous co-op or work experience in finance, accounting, or data analytics
- Knowledge of financial reporting, derivatives, and financial products
- Experience with coding or analytics tools like Python, VBA, SQL, R, C, HIVE
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Interest in CPA or CFA designation
- Experience leveraging AI technologies for analytics and workflow enhancement
