2027 CAE, Winter Internal Auditor (4 months)

About the role

Four-month Winter 2027 co-op with RBC Internal Audit in Toronto. You will assess controls, risk management practices, and governance processes across business lines, using data analytics and visualization to support audits and recommendations. The role offers varied assignments, collaboration, coaching, and networking for students developing internal audit skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audits, control design reviews, continuous audit reviews, and consulting engagements.
• Assess internal controls, risk management practices, and corporate governance processes objectively.
• Support audit planning sessions and develop techniques using data analytics.
• Document quarterly Continuous Risk Monitoring calls for the Senior Manager.
• Use Tableau to create data analytics and visualization reports.
• Prepare management reports and recommendations to improve business operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrate curiosity, critical thinking, constructive challenge, and interest in learning auditing principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
• Manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet tight timelines in a changing environment.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, collaboration, and listening skills.
• Experience with Python and Tableau is an asset.

Student Eligibility

• Return to school after the work term ends.
• Alternatively, require the full work term as a mandatory graduation requirement if graduating afterward.
