About the role
This four-month Toronto student position supports RBC Internal Audit’s centralized Audit Planning, Reporting and related initiatives. You will contribute to Audit Committee reporting, research emerging topics, develop data-driven commentary and visualizations, support Agile delivery as a trained Scrum Master, and collaborate across complex departmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the centralized TOPR team within RBC Internal Audit across varied assignments.
- Assist with Audit Committee reporting, insightful commentary and impactful visualizations.
- Research industry and emerging topics for use in reporting.
- Train as a Scrum Master to support the team’s Agile approach.
- Act as a liaison on complex, multifaceted departmental initiatives, including efficiency improvements.
Development
- Gain exposure to a wide range of areas across RBC through challenging assignments.
- Strengthen skills and knowledge through meaningful work and networking opportunities.
- Receive development support through coaching and managing opportunities.
- Work collaboratively in a dynamic team and engage with technologies used by the bank.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, CFA, or related field.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work effectively independently and within teams.
- Communicate professionally in written and verbal interactions.
- Apply analytical, communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Remain organized, accurate and detail-oriented while managing multiple time-sensitive tasks.
- Thrive in dynamic environments and demonstrate initiative, flexibility and creative thinking.
Eligibility
- Return to school after the work term ends, or require the full term to graduate successfully.
- The position is a four-month student or co-op placement in Toronto.
- The role is full-time, with 37.5 working hours per week.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Excel as a tool for financial analysis.
- Previous experience working with a financial institution.
