- Contribute to the firm's bottom line within the first few weeks.
- Apply a data-driven and probabilistic approach to testing new ideas.
- Adapt based on new data, results, and feedback.
- Focus on projects with high value creation potential.
Qualifications
- Currently a PhD student, postdoc, professor, or similar advanced research position.
- Strong analytical background in math, physics, computer science, statistics, or engineering.
- Persistent drive to improve and creative problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented mindset valuing collaboration and idea sharing.
- Mental flexibility and self-awareness to adapt to feedback.
- Orientation towards making money and practical application of research.
Research and Trading Skills
- Strong intuition and deep thinking with data sets to design new alphas.
- Ability to quickly analyze data to identify empirical relationships.
- Familiarity with classical statistical methods and eagerness to learn new ones.
- Experience or interest in modern AI and applied machine learning is a plus.
- Understanding of financial products, market dynamics, and microstructure.
- Programming experience in low-level languages like C++ with problem-solving skills.
