2027 - Internship, Data Engineering

About the role

Five- to six-month 2027 internship in QRT’s data teams, based in Paris or London. Interns contribute to systems and datasets supporting quantitative research and trading, collaborating with researchers, traders and engineers. Potential focus areas include quantitative data analysis, data engineering, or data platform engineering.

Role Areas

• Evaluate and source datasets, manage acquisition projects, and support production implementation with Data Engineers.
• Design data stores and APIs, monitor processes, and build production-ready datasets for researchers and traders.
• Build infrastructure for real-time and batch workflows, focusing on reliability, latency, and growing data volumes.

Responsibilities

• Work on systems and datasets supporting quantitative research and trading activities.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers on data acquisition, engineering, and platform design problems.
• Contribute to real projects while developing autonomy in a technical, collaborative environment.

Recruitment Process

• Selected candidates complete a coding challenge covering core programming and problem-solving skills.
• Shortlisted candidates attend onsite or Microsoft Teams interviews covering technical foundations, problem-solving, and collaboration.
