About the role

QRT offers a 3-6 month 2027 internship for penultimate or final year students in Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering. Gain hands-on experience optimizing trading systems and managing scalable cloud platforms in a tech-driven investment firm.

Programme Details

• Duration: 3 to 6 months starting in 2027
• Locations: Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai
• Open to penultimate or final year Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD students

Role Overview

• Infrastructure team manages on-premises hardware and Linux systems for trading operations
• Cloud team designs and manages scalable cloud infrastructure and data pipelines
• Focus on performance optimization, automation, and supporting research and trading

Required Skills

• Passion for technology demonstrated by projects or academic work
• Programming/scripting experience (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Familiarity with Git, SQL, GCC, Linux/Unix system administration
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus
• Knowledge of Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) preferred
• Proactive, curious, entrepreneurial mindset with results-driven approach
